According to Kazunori Yamauchi, the creator of the Gran Turismo series, developer Polyphony is considering bringing the popular franchise to PC. GTPlanet recently interviewed Yamauchi, whereby the news was revealed. The studio executive hinted that the much-anticipated port would be coming soon, giving hope to the franchise’s many fans. Yamauchi also responded positively when asked if a PC version of Gran Turismo was possible. Regarding the port, we can see from what Yamauchi said above, that there may be a few small areas to fine-tune for the developers when considering the PC hardware. The decision to port it to PC rests entirely in the hands of Yamauchi, Sony, and Polyphony, but there doesn’t seem to be much of a reason to prevent it from happening. Gran Turismo 7, the most recent installment, was launched on March 4, 2022, to generally positive reviews but didn’t appeal to a large number of gamers due to the grind and microtransactions. Yamauchi also responded regarding GT7’s server issues recently. PlayStation titles like Horizon, God of War, Spider-Man, and most recently Uncharted have all been ported to PC in a relatively short amount of time. When Gran Turismo eventually arrives on PC, it might not surprise some people. This is all we can tell you at this time; however, we will keep you posted when new information becomes available. In the meantime, let us know what you think of the PC port of Gran Turismo.
