The Design

The design shown by Igor’s Lab features the Navi 31 GPU, which is divided across 1xGCD surrounded by 6x small MCDs on the side for a MCM (Multi Chip Module) design. You can read more about the specs for the Navi 3X GPUs here.

Memory Modules & Power Delivery

A total of 12 GDDR6 memory modules (4×3) were showcased suggesting a max memory capacity of 24GB for the 7900 XT (Subject to Change). Igor’s model is based on a real circuit design therefore 21 large voltage converters were present in the example. The actual GPU will be powered by 8 phases, which as per Igor is the general trend.

Display Connectors

The 7900 XT includes 3xDP (Display Ports) and 1xHDMI port. Igor states that no USB-C port is present.

Power Connections

Due to a lack of certainty regarding the inclusion of PCIe 5.0 connectors, three 6+2 sockets are featured in this design. Igor’s model has a max TBP (Total Board Power) of 450W, however, the total should be lower.

Conclusion

What you just saw is a possible design for AMD’s upcoming RX 7900 XT. All credits go to Igor’s Lab for providing us with these details. From the leaks that have come up so far, we managed to obtain a few possible specifications for AMD’s upcoming RX 7000 lineup.
